This month I'm building a Grand Concert for the great Don Alder, with many similarities to the Baritone I'm also building for him. Both instruments are made of bearclaw Sitka spruce and sapele, and they are both loaded up with most all of the options that I offer, such as the cutaway, Ryan armrest bevel, multiscale geometry, side soundport, and the Manzer wedge. While baritone has a sapele rosette and koa binding, this grand concert will feature a thuya burl rosette and bloodwood binding (and bevel). It's gonna be so sharp! I'm deliverying both of these guitars to Don at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival this coming August, so if you're going to be there, take a few minutes to stop by and play them!
