Today was a happy birthday for Billy's German Spruce and Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle Arena OM. As you can see, tasmanian tiger myrtle is a dramatically beautiful wood to look at, but this little guitar is no wallflower. It's loud!...and quick, and crisp, and deep, and open, and up-front, and bold. So I'm gonna have fun with it for the next week or two while I put it through the paces and refine the setup. Along with the German spruce top, this instrument features a cocobolo bridge, fingerboard, headplate veneer, and binding, a rosette of thyua burl from Morocco, as well as a Ryan armrest bevel and a multi-scale geometry. For sure, it's one of a kind. Thanks, Billy!
