This week I'm off to a good start on Juston's European Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood Arena. I always start a guitar by bending the sides, which requires the use of water, heat, and steam so that the wood can relax and be bent into shape. I then let the sides rest for three days so that the wood can re-acclimate to its prpoer moisture content before I continue with assembly of the rim. During that time I joint the top and the back and laid in a nice curly koa rosette. Next I'll continue with the rim by beginning to form the Ryan Armrest Bevel, adding the kerfed lining and side braces, and refining the shape of the Side Soundport.
