I just strung up Tom Roca's cedar and Indian rosewood Concert Nylon Crossover and it sounds excellent. Tom happened to inquire about an idea that I was looking for an opportunity to try, using a super-thin satin finish on the top. The finish came out to 1/1000th of an inch, much thinner than you could ever achieve with a gloss finish. The bridge, rosette, fingerboard, headplates and binding on Tom's guitar are all cocobolo. Great choice Tom, I think it looks real classy! Tom is very active in the Guitar Pickers Association in France, which will be holding their annual festival in late August. I'm very happy that Tom will have his guitar in time to show it to his friends! :)
